“The pop corn machine broke down so we went out of the cinema to get some. But there weren’t any. So we went to the big supermarket but it was closed.” Julia lied.
Sophie didn't say anything.
We sat down and another row. The movie finished.
“Why are we still sitting here?” I asked.
“I was worried about you guys. I thought you were kidnapped or something. So I called your father. He is coming in ten minutes.” She looked at her watch. I could tell that was a lie.
We thought for ten minutes. It was boring. Julia and I prepared for a long fast run.
Sophie got a phone call, it was a quite shout one.
“Hi……so you arrived…… Ok stay there, wait for the right time…… I’ll call you……bye.”
I could wait no longer, it was time to break the bubble.
“Sophie,” I said “You don't have to lie to me anymore, I know everything about you’re plan. Julia told me”
I thought she was going to pretend to be innocent. But she didn’t, she was prepared for this, she wasn’t surprised.
She stared at me with her dead fishy eyes. She had the most evil smile worn on her face. She slowly picked up her mobile and spoke to it.
“Now!” She said coldly. “She found out.”
Sophie turned to Julia, fixing her icy eyes on her “Kiss your friend good bye,” Sophie said grimly. “Because you are never going to see her again.” Sophie’s eyes shone in the darkness.
That call was obviously for David, because seconds after David burst in with a knife in his hand.
“Run!” I cried.
Julia and I ran for the staff room. We had prepared for this long run.
They followed tightly after. We ran to the end of the room. We knocked on the walls. The walls opened. We ran in.
We were quite fast runners. We have even won first and second places at the running competition in my school.
We left them far behind.
We were at the end of the tunnel, with too doors, we went into the left one.
We made the way out!!!!!!
Sophie and David got caught by the police.
We jumped on the green grass field. I have never felt this happy before.
Julia and I have gone through this adventure together. And our friendship became deeper and deeper.
Deep…….Deep……. down to the earth……
