tortoises come from warm countries----Spain,Greece,Italy,North Africa,Australia--but they can live in cold countries.Many tortoises live in gardens in Great Britain and North America.
When it is cold they sleep for 20--24 weeks.Big toetoises can live for 150 years.Small toetoises can live for 50 or 60 years.They eat plants.They can′t fly and they can′t climb, but they can walk at 5 kilometres per hour.
